A little different

We love finding places to stay that are a little different and this converted rail carriage ticked all our boxes.. beautiful scenery , peace and quiet , attentive hosts who gave fabulous privacy but was happy to help with anything we needed , and a delicious breakfast. We would recommend this place to all our friends in a heartbeat. We will return for sure :)

Heaven!

The location, the accommodation, the warmth, the views, the owners, basically I could not fault the Hapuku Carriages.
I could have stayed a month. There is not one thing I didn't have, nor could have wanted. Mike has thought of everything.

An amazing place to stay!

The place is really unique and beautiful. The idea of using the old carriages as accommodation is just brilliant and the host kept it really authentic. Enjoy the scenery, the open air bath at night and great talks with the host in the morning when you have breakfast !! Great place to stay !! Strongly recommended for everyone who is open for something different!!

Special hideaway near the beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mike's carriage house B&B. The space was beautifully and meticulously renovated; we loved all of the small details and the outdoor tub was excellent as well. Breakfast the next morning was tremendous, and Mike was a wonderful host. Great location near the beach, even saw dolphins in the morning!

Truly Amazing

Fantastic staying! The carriage is immaculate and the view unforgettable. On the top, a delicious breakfast prepared by lovely owners. Truly the place I dream to go back.

A 1 off great place to stay

We have just spent two nights in the carriage and a fantastic experience Location great, not to far from town and only a couple of min stroll to the beach. the carriage was great - retro but with all the mod cons you need.

Paradise in a carriage

Always one to try and find somewhere other than the run of the mill hotels, motels & B&B's, I stumbled across Hapuku Carriages, Kaikoura NZ via Booking.com and was not disappointed with my choice. Travelling solo I wanted somewhere unique, off the beaten track and not surrounded by Tourists, but with the warmth of home. It was perfect.
